ORPHAN SUPPORT

“Whoever supports an orphan from among his own or any other family, he will be as close to me in Heaven as these fingers are close to each other.”

According to a UNICEF estimate there are over 4.2 million orphan children in Pakistan most of which suffer from lack of quality education and adequate upbringing. Consequently, these orphaned children often fail to become useful members of society and in fact, some even turn to antisocial and criminal activities.

PROSPER International’s Model of Orphan Support.

We plan to have two types of models for our orphans support program.

1. Orphan Family Support Program. The first type of model, which we term as Orphan Family Support Program, is applied wherein orphan boys and girls, who do not have a wage earner in the family, are supported while living with their own family, or while living with a close relative. The primary objective is to facilitate the orphan children obtain quality education, and subsequently become financially self-sufficient while under the patronage of loved ones.
2. Orphan Homes. Our second model will deal with orphans who are considered to be better off in our prospective orphan homes, that are planned to be built in conjunction with our PROSPER educational setups.

Current Projects

Currently, PROSPER is only working on the first model of orphan support, that is, Orphan Family Support Program, while the second model of Orphan Homes is planned to be launched a few years down the road. At present we are supporting various orphan families in Farooqabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Jhang to complete their education. Additional families will be added to this program as funds become available.

How I can contribute.   

PROSPER International has an “Adopt an orphan” program, in which a donor can choose to provide monthly financial support to an orphan child.
